At Home Heroes we are big believers in Lifetime learning and the skills which one can acquire that don’t immediately seem work-related, from presentation skill and learning Python. They all have the part to play into making us better people and better surveyors presentation for our clients and briefs, python for data management and scraping.
As Chartered Construction Professionals we have to complete a mandatory planned amount of CPD and this is an obligation of our professional status. I am the same I have these obligations I never struggle for mandatory hours as I always have a forward facing plan to add skills and support and confirm those I already have.
So with the above in mind, My CPD plan for the next 12 months includes undertaking the inaugural valuation qualification in my pursuit of being a registered valuer in the next 12-18 months. This is a skill which wasn’t part a large part of my training to become a Qualified Building Surveyor and as such, I have had to source a course and support to obtain the experience and academic requirements for Registered Valuer Status. I will post updates over the coming 12 months and let you all know how I am getting along and any other items that pop up. Expect to see more CPD updates from us in the near future.
